summer recap

Because I am a horrible blogger in general, I always tend to skip over a bunch of fun stuff that made up my Summer. But I just can't pass up all the photos from the summertime that are just sitting in my iPhoto so I have no choice but to do a summer recap. Let me warn you though... it is always a photo overload so prepare yourself.

Also, in honor of tradition, I will be doing a Summer recap poem. I am no poet. But it makes it a little more fun. haha

Our Graphic Design BFA Exhibition called NEUE (pronounced NEW) ended senior year on great terms,

and so did a little brunch with some good friends at Herms.

-

I walked in my cap & gown to get my diploma

-

-

then jetted off to LA with my momma when it was all over.

-

We had a blast, just roaming the city.

-

We ate Sprinkles ice cream, and took pictures of shadows that were pretty.

-

In a matter of months my belly grew and grew leading to many belly shots.

-

We vacationed in the sun amongst the red rocks.

-

We went to St. George for a big Stephens Family Reunion.

-

and then headed back to LA for our 2nd anniversary and babymoon.

-

The Dodgers, beach, and my favorite surfboard sugar cookies left us satisfied.

-

And a trip to the cool driving range ended our trip just right.

-

Golfing became Cam's newest addiction.

-

Meanwhile, mine became going to the pool to lounge in the sun. 

-

Two cute Shewolves tied the knot! 

-

and resulted in a lot of great photobooth shots!

-

We took Lamaze class to prep for the baby

-

And Cam lit some fireworks and things got a little bit crazy.

-

We traveled for work to Salt Lake, Driggs, Boise, IF and many more places.

And in the midst of this work we snuck in a few photos of our faces.

See, I told you I was horrible at poetry but that was my Summer in a nutshell! 

So much fun and so busy. The busy-ness definitely helped this pregnancy go by quickly and made for lots of good memories for our last summer with just the two of us! Here's to many more summer recaps ahead of us.

School is back.

I thought I might be good at blogging for a sec and then I started having wayyyyy too much fun.

haha no but really, this summer has been close to the top in best summers to ever have happened in my life. 

AND since I don't really feel like recapping (is that a word?) it all 

and you probably don't feel like reading all that nonsense

 I'm just going to tell it in a rhyme with pictures that I took on my phone over the summer.

Started the summer in good ol' West Yelli

along with a bittersweet goodbye my lovely friend Shelly

 I soaked in the sun probably too much!

And played a lot with this extra cute pup.

Dressed up like white trash for my 1st Demo Derby

Then went to hangout with the fishermen of da sea. 

(just pretend that rhymes with derby!)

 I left Logan to swim in the Ocean

Little girls, bikinis & sand are Oh so fun!

Planking's the dumbest trend I've ever seen.

The Tower of Terror made us scream.

Candy Canes when it's not even Christmas

With our Caption EO glasses, you couldn't miss us!

In my unicorn shirt I shaved yummy snocones

Indians are cool, I wish I could be one!

Roadtripped back to West Yelli and ate otter pops

Dessert food at weddings, nothing tops!

so long sweet summer, hello fall semester!

Parting.

Once upon a time, 

a girl named Shelby was planning on moving to the big Salt Lake City.

She dreamed of working at JCrew and hanging out with her sisters everyday.

The day of moving approached and her mom came down to help her pack. 

They took everything out of her room and packed it into a trailer and as Shelby stared at her bare room she felt nostalgic and sad to be leaving her house, her friends and surprisingly Logan.

Shelby and her Mom sat down for a little break after moving to ease their hard working muscles when they began to communicate....

And then she decided that she didn't want to move after all so they moved all her stuff back into her room and it was as if nothing had changed!

YEP!

I'm stayin.

(Remind me to not talk about myself in 3rd person ever again)

After thinking about it, I realized that Logan is where I want to be in the summer. Although I had to move out and then in again and the in again into the room next to me, it was all worth it.

I'll be sad not to be with my sisters but hey! It's summer and I can go down whenever I want.

Now to the really sad part.

Remember how all of my roommates graduated or moved out?

It's been a week and I am missing them like crazy.

It could be the fact that I don't have a job 

(hunting for one... I secretly just wanna work at the snowshack) 

and that the only other person here is Ashley, my bathroommate who I love but works too. 

But I think I just lucked out with great roommates.

Now... time to reflect on my 2nd year of college and my 1st year as a Shewolf.

(Yes, that's our houses name...)
