Royal Wedding

Last night I decided to stay up and watch the Royal Wedding.
Me and my friend Shelly stayed up til about 3 watching pre-wedding hype and then we hit a wall and she decided to sleep and just watch it TiVo this morning.

I wanted to watch it all Live!
So I  took a little nap until the ceremony.
And I am SO glad that I was awake to watch it.
Everything about it was so Royal and regal.
Although I don't think Prince William is the best looking man on this planet, I think that they looked so cute and happy together!
––sorry...I'm being such a girl right now but I seriously loved every second of it.––

Even though it was streaming live at 4am in the states
{quite late or early depending on whether you stayed up or woke up for it!}
I still felt the excitement over my sleepiness.
How many times do you get to watch a royal wedding??
I thought everything about the ceremony was so traditional and interesting
and I am in love with her dress and that veil. She looked perfect.

I'd be glad to just have her Reception dress as my wedding dress!!
Look at that waist!

The funny thing about it is that all the girls in my family stayed up for it.
ShaLyse watched it in bed.
Jenna watched it alone at home and clapped her hands in excitement when Kate got in the car.
Mom stayed up til 8:30am (true devotion!) and cried.
& I just enjoyed the entire magical splendor of it all!

And I may or may not have watched it 2 or 3 times since last night...
Just too good.

It's so exciting to watch such a historical event in hopes that someday I can tell my children that I stayed up and soaked everything about it in!

Now, I think I'll just spend the rest of my day speaking in an English accent!
The end.

wannabe

It's too bad I was born in '91.
I would've been a really good 80's baby.

The evolution of a wannabe-80's prom queen!

Don't even try to tell me you don't notice that 80's bang wave!

Secretly I wish I could poof my hair & bangs,
wear neon lipstick & eyeshadow,
and listen to cyndi lauper on my boombox daily.

A girl can only dream!

well overdue

Alright people.
For how much I love my birthday, you'd think I'd be all up on posting the photos and deets about it
but...
apparently it has taken me about 1 month, 19 days to do so.
Not to say that it hasn't crossed my mind a time or two, or three, or 19 times.

Better late than never though!

Needless to say it was a fabulous 20th birthday
slash funeral for my beloved teenage years!

Only because I was surrounded by so many of my good friends.

And my family,
knowing up close and personal how much I have, and will always love my bday
--and how I hate to spend it without them--
trekked to Logan just for lunch and a lil bit of Kinect fun!

A few birthday highlights included
 Coming home to a room
stocked with only the finest junk food
(all my favorites!)
by my bathroommate and longtime friend Jess.
My door is glowing because of all the magically delicious surprises that lie on the other side of it!
also packed with things to keep me young like this HanMontan T
which I happen to be wearing right now!
Cuz I'm a Secret Pop Star!!

She also made me french toast for brunch on my birthday.
I'm the luckiest.
I'll just owe the gift of those 10 lbs. I got on my birthday to her

finding this on my facebook at the end of the day.
who doesn't like 41 notifications on facebook all wishing you a happy birthday!
these were a few of my favorites:

--from Elder Hartley, my first crush, and favorite missionary--
--a funny note from my favorite little people--
--my one and probably only birthday wish directly from Paris France--
--competition on Facebook, it's the best!--

I loved all of my birthday wishes, these are just a few that made me laugh!

OKAY FINE!
besides facebook
most of my birthday highlights were food.
big surprise!
I really did love that my mom gave me a
Babes cake AND her homemade lemon cake -drooling!

Happy Birthday to ME!

adieu

In 26 hours I will be forced to let go of a few adjectives that I often use to describe myself such as
teeny bopper,
tween,
bebeeee,
jo-bro lover,
immature k maybe that's going too far..

I have figured out that I can equally compare my birthday to Christmas
except it's even better because it's all about me.
You may think this sounds selfish but I'm just happy to be alive
and I'm sure I'm not the only one
who is happy that I am alive.

This week I have been overly stressed out about school.
ridiculously stressed.
Needless to say, my birthday could not come sooner.
I am using it as an excuse to do absolutely nothing
except go to class because that is what a semi-responsible, non-teenybopper person would do.

Anywho, tonight after a really long long day
(one to nine at school. boo.)
I got to hang out with my best friend
and as I was taking her home the topic of my birthday came up..
(I actually didn't bring it up... I mean, I always think about it but I have to fully restrain myself from always talking about it.)
and she was really sad that I was leaving her behind to deal with her teenage angst all by herself
because you see, she has all the way to July to deal with that.
This brought up the sensitive topic of being the Youngest Old one in Primary
(you know what I'm talkin about)
and everyone leaving you behind and staring at you in the congregation while you're the
 tall, awkward, old one
who was forced to sing in the primary program
all. by. yourself.

I'm just glad I'm the one in the congregation.
correction: almost the one....

10/01/10

Little Neezy is not so little anymore.
I went home last weekend to celebrate his Sweet 16!!
In my head I still picture him as a lil guy with cute curls on the back of his head.
But now he is OLD! I feel like my Sweet 16 was yesterday and now it is his.

We started out his Bday with a midnight scavenger hunt that took us all over town.

(My personal favorite clue was:
-Go to McDonalds and order the "McNeil Special"-
only to find that there were the perfect amount of apple pies prepaid for both cars!
Only Rollie would do that! I loved it)

This hunt led us to his very own pumpkin patch and THIS...

The rest of the weekend was spent watching General Conference
and I even got to spend a few hours working in the little blue hut!

So much fun that I'm seriously contemplating just going home for Fall Break.
Is that lame?
