I'm just stretching out my stomach.

I've been hearing a lot of talk about people "stretching out their stomachs" to prepare for the intake of turkey at Thanksgiving dinner.
I, personally, would rather stretch my stomach out for something more like mashed potatoes, or stuffing. To be honest.. I actually barely eat any turkey on Thanksgiving day.
However, for the last couple of years I have done the no-breakfast-so-I-can-save-room-for-dinner thing and that backfires on me because everyone knows that just shrinks your stomach. DUHHH! (you knew that, right??) What is the point of this whole post you ask? I'll tell you.
Tonight I was hanging out with my bathroommate Jess and my good friend Spencer. We were pretty bored and Spenc was hungry so we went on a McDonalds run. I was not really hungry but I thought hmm, I could go for some fries..but then I thought but wait, chicken nuggets sound good too.
So, naturally I decided on a kids meal. Jess and Spenc wanted kids meals too but we all noticed that a kids meal was around 4 dollars and Spencer suggested a better option.
50 chicken nuggets = $10
I was originally content with the plain old 4-piece chicken nugget but Spenc was convinced this was a better plan and it actually was cheaper so we went with it plus I got a $1 fry for all of us to share because I'm nice like that. (Pretty sure McDonalds and everyone behind us in the drive through hated us.)
When we got the nugs, they were all divided into ten per box. We each took a box and just started eating. No pressure. Spencer would willingly take the leftovers. However, as we kept eating it started turning into more and more of a goal to finish all 50.
Chicken nugget count:
Me - 16
Jess - 14
Spencer - 20
Mission Accomplished.

Thanksgiving dinner should be a breeze.

Shhhhhh....

Even though I should be studying for this right now:

I had to take a little break to share about my previous final today.
Yes.. that lovely final would be for Western Art History: Prehistoric to Medieval
(try not to be jealous)
Here's how it went.
We (Jennika & I, and the whole class of course) were given a list of 80 art pieces, their date, medium, place of origin... lalalala
and about 50 art vocabulary words.

We looked up aaaall of the art pieces on google and printed them out on to little notecards.
Then, we slowly drilled them into our brains one by one---not too bad when your reviewing but still, it is monotonous.

Hours had been spent studying for this little gem and Jennika & I felt really confident for the test.
Go ahead, Ask me the year the the Parthenon, Temple of Hera or San-Ettiene cathedral was built. I will tell you!

Needless to say, we were a bit TOO confident.

Trying to answer all of the questions on one piece of art when the dumb picture slides are moving way too quickly is the equivalent of running.. no, sprinting 3 miles for my heart.
I especially loved answering questions about art pieces that weren't on the list ( like I had time to study them in the midst of memorizing everything else)
I am always behind in that class, and I am very bitter that I walked in feeling like gold and out feeling like I just got beat up behind taco bell.

Conclusion: My Art History final Murdered me. I'm pretty sure I will not be happy about my grade.

P.S.
I'm a terrible writer, I know. And I think that story was all jumbled up just like my brain is at this moment.
Just had to get my frustration out of my system

Think Before Clicking

Okay... So i'll admit
that my tween side came out a bit
when I bought the Jonas Brother's new CD....
As I was listening to it and
Googling pictures of Nick Jonas,
I stumbled across a page
announcing that they are going to be on
tour this summer so of course,
the first thing I did was call Jenna
and ask if she wanted to go to the
concert in Nampa, ID.
(this was late, around 1am),
So I decided to order the tickets the next morning.

As Sal is looking over my shoulder as I order the tickets
with her card, I quickly filled out the forms
and pushed submit.
The order has been processed and I was looking at the
receipt only to find my worst nightmare

JONAS BROTHERS
IDAHO CENTER, NAMPA, ID

 Purchase: 104 x 8
       $832
Processing fee: $139
TOTAL: $941
All ticket sales are final.

Of course, I thought this was a complete mistake because....
WHY WOULD I ORDER 8 TICKETS???
when I only needed 2!!!

Meanwhile, Mom is looking over my shoulder confused
asking, why does it say you ordered 8 tickets?

So I hurried to check my e-mail and lo and behold,
my eyes weren't tricking me!

Anyways, I call the ticket people and they aren't able to contact
the seller at the moment so they tell me to call the next
morning at 8am.

This is NOT good news.
In the ladylike words of Lindsay Lohan in Meangirls,
"My stomach felt like it was going to fall out of my butt."

All I could do was assume the worst,
so I tried to think of the only thing possible
which is of course, SELL!

I present this idea to my mom
and her reply is
"No mother is going to buy Jonas Brothers tickets in this economy."

Thanks for the encouragement Mom.

But by the end of the night I had basically 3 tickets
SOLD but ........ what was i going to do with the other 3?
Let's just say, I didn't sleep well that night.

The next morning,
when I was getting ready, the phone rang.
Shortly after, Sal got on the intercom
and announced that
they refunded our money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The moral of the story is...
Don't let your teenage excitement and haste....
impair your thinking skills
&
always Think before Clicking.

And unless you are planning on being a temporary ticket broker,
check the quantity!
